Application Can't Get Player List Rate Topic: -----

Hello,

I'm having problems logging in on the application. I have seen a topic with the exact same problem, but its locked and there was no solution provided. Here's my problem: whenever I log, i get this message:


<Warning> The application could not contact the service that handles traffic outside the server. Be sure to add svc.tripletriadoffline.com to your firewall or prevent connections to that address from being blocked. Some parts of the game may not work correctly if not corrected. 17:17:11

Now, I have my firewall completely unabled, and I have also tried to unable my antivirus. Reinstalling the application doesn't seem to do anything either. I'm using this on my old laptop with Windows Vista. Does anyone have any idea or suggestion?

Try running TTE with Administrative Rights (right-click > Run as Administrator).

Sorry, that also didn't work.

I've been trying to open ports in my router but it doesn't seem to help. Also tried enabling firewall and adding TTE as an exception, but nothing. It seems my problem relies in the connection with svc.tripletriadoffline.com. Does anyone here use a specific port for connection?

I'm having issues with this, too. I just had to recently crash and reinstall Windows 7 on my laptop because of a virus. I added svc.TripleTriadOffline.com to my exceptions, and I still get the message too. Any advice, or is it something I'm doing wrong too, guys?

I have noticed over the last few months, Microsoft has tightened down on their firewalls/essentials and it has made it difficult for this client game to function. I was hoping we would be on the new platform by then but we are still in drafting stages for the 4.0 UI. Let me see if I can't work out a fix or rather continue eliminating the need for that service altogether.

Unzip this file to your main TTE installation folder and overwrite the file that is there. Let me know if this works for you:

It worked for me Atom. Thanks. I just copied and pasted the new files into my main folder and I'm good to go!

Thanks as well Atom. Nice to have the issue gone. Might be good to either change the current download for the client or make a front page post that's easy to find for current users to change.

This helped me get rid of the communication error message
but i still cant pick decks for TT Games...
anyone else having this issue? got a fix?
