EC = Event Cards is a known thing and is stated in many places. If you misinterpret it to be whatever you want it to be, there is not any messages or articles that I can come up with to fix that. Deck != Event thus ECs != Belong in Deck.
Perhaps I have passed over while reading, but could you link at least 2 places to where it states what exactly EC cards are since you mentioned it is "stated in many places".

ECs and SEs are similar, the only difference is one, number differences, and two, what's on them, Special editions are often characters or objects within the game show etc, events are events that happened in the game or show.
I can see others viewpoints a bit better with what you just mentioned Zero. Though, this also conflicts from what atom said to me.
Quote:
Me: "EC cards... Are they supposed to be in regular decks or was the purpose of them to be for Events like Xmas n such only?"
Atom: "EC are event cards so...."
Me: "That's what I am assuming but seen some put in decks and jaxy has (x amount) "EC" cards in the FFXIII deck atm so just trying to make it clear"
Atom: "the deck will be rejected with EC cards.... goes without saying"
Also, when looking at multiple decks, there are only a few decks with EC framed cards in regular decks. If you look at the FF8 deck, these "events that happened in the game" and are put into cards are still with an SE border.
So atom and zero, unless I am taking both quotes in the wrong way, it seems there is a conflict of what "EC" means to different people.
