I see an ad on the forums a lot for the FF13-2 trailers. I never finished FF13 because I got sidetracked but what do you all think about FF13? I have heard mixed reviews and thus when I see the ad as being "highly anticipated", it seems like a bit of hype. You might even see the link to that trailer in an ad on this page. It shows up rather often.

Also, why does Squaresoft continue to do this *-2 business. Just make it Final Fantasy 15 and be done with it.

I don't like FF13, it's also the first Final Fantasy i never even started to play, esp. the music is annoying as hell since my g/f is playing it atm. 90% seems to be cutscenes anyway so where is the point off playing it, you can watch a movie instead, like Harold and Kumar go to white castle!!!!! but im also one who thinks that everything after FF-X got just worst.

I find it rather lackluster, it feels like an incomplete game and just an attempt to flaunt Next-gen graphics, which no one cares about. Whatever happened to funky summoning sequences followed by ice maidens, dragon kings and water snakes?! Whats with the transformer stuff going on? FF11, ff14? MMOs? get that crap outta here. FFX was most definately the last Good Final Fantasy game, ever since then its just been crap after crap. Squeenix seems to have done better with their other titles (The Last Remnant, STar Ocean: TLH, Infinite Undiscovery), just not Final Fantasy.

I never played FFXIII or 13-2. I basically stopped playing FF main series games after X-2...and I never plan to play any new main series FF games ever again.

I never did finish FFX-2 either. I hated the Charlie's Angels theme.

I did like FF12 though.

Still playing FF12 and like Atom said the Charlie's angel theme killed ffx2 for me

As most of us are veterans of the FF series (playing other titles) we see this game as trash, for the battle system and music, to name a few that we veterans cannot stand, while my friends (who never played any other FF's than Crisis Core and 13) find 13 pretty good, though they did say the storyline was corny.

Now my thoughts...its a game that goes ehh for me. A game that I would play but not recommend. Square enix is just being stupid making new titles than just remaking FF7 (What fans really want?), which would rebuild their reputation instead of detoritaitng it

There is still "Tactics Ogre - Let Us Cling Together", a remake for PSP. It's pretty good and better then the GBA FFTA series. Who liked FFT for PSX or the PSP remake will like that game too.
