There are a few ways you will not be able to connect to Dark Wind and there are a few ways to remedy those ways.

Reasons you cannot connect:

1) Server may be down - No remedy. Send a ticket if it continues and no post on the forums about any outage that day. Note that if someone can login and the server is not down, you will just be redirected back to this thread.

2) The port you are trying to connect with is already in use by something or open by a previous connection. - Remedy: Change the firewall port or proxy port on the login screen. Incrementing by 1 or by 5 usually helps.

3) Your ISP does not allow dynamic DNS. Remedy - Ping tripletriadextreme.dynip.com and get the IP address. Then on the login screen, click server options and change the server ip address to that ip address (should read tripletriadextreme.dynip.com, if it doesn't then there is your main problem).

4) You may be using a university line that does not allow the direct connection of any internal application to an external service. For example, unable to play any online game or some online games. No remedy - kick your network techs in the butt.

5) Some wireless networks do not allow Dark Wind to connect. Remedy: Connect to a wired LAN line.

To PING:

1) Go to start->run
2) Type cmd and press enter
3) You should get a DOS screen (black screen). Type ping tripletriadextreme.dynip.com and press enter.
4) You should receive a display with an ip address. For example 127.0.0.1.
5) This is the ip address you will use for item #3 above.
