I was inspired to write this story through my conversations with Sundragon Dragonqueen of the DarkWind server.

Saga of Sundragon

Part I:

Prelude of the Dawn

A voice spoke out, barely louder than a whisper, and all the Olden Ones turned to the source. "I have been here for aeons, my time has come to an end. However, I ask one thing of everyone here. Be sure to watch over the Children and forget not about the pa...ct....." With that last word, a powerful silence resounded in the room. The silence was broken by a single sob. Soon the entire room was filled with the sound of mourning. The cacophany was interrupted by a single voice. "My husband has traversed the Final Path. I must join as he is a part of me, and I a part of him." Soon, the room was filled with a beautiful white light and the two leaders joined the heavens.

The years passed by slowly and the lands began to deteriorate. The once holy Olden Ones seemed like they had abandoned the land and all of its inhabitants. Strife infected the land first, blasting away all the beauty the land and its people once had. It was soon followed by an instability of nature which made the land almost beyond repair. The revolt of nature was followed by a thick darkness in the sky and in the inhabitants of the land. All had fallen into decay and the beauty seemed to be forever ruined in the land of Tench-Inouta. The darkness hid a deeper shadow that began to swallow the land. The Voidlords began to thrive in the darkness and began to instigate war through the puppetry of the various leaders that Tench-Inouta had left. Soon, the war escalated into an all out anarchy that pit brothers against brothers, sisters against sisters, and cities against cities.

The desolation caused by the Voidlords caused the land to cry out in intense pain. The lands were reaching out to the heavens, but the heavens remained silent and cold-blooded. However, throughout this convulsion of nature and peoples, a solitary cry echoed from the depths of a village into the mountains currently known as the Darkened Scabs, its ancient name long forgotten. Yet, it seems that the Darkened Scabs responded to the cries of anguish. As the village erupted into devastation, a single spark of life sought out the Darkened Scabs. A lone baby girl was transported to the Darkened Scabs. It was like a beacon of a new dawn pulsing in the veins of the Darkened Scabs. It heralded a new day as the crack of dawn temporarily pierced the shadowy overcast as the dawn attempted to finally fight the oppressive darkness.
