Good thoughts, but none of which are happening. A game's economy is very intricate and making gp easier to obtain (like what you are insinuating) makes the game too easy. When you introduce an overload of currency into any market, you get devaluation and inflation. In this case, I would just end up raising the pack prices to offset how easy GP is to obtain. Then you'll want GP to be easier to obtain, and then the prices of packs are hiked again. This continues, its economics.
AP was introduced solely for the reason it is being used now. You are trying to treat it like currency and that is not its intended purpose. Transferring AP to GP is a solution that may be available in v2 but don't expect it to be generous. Probably 1000:1. Again refer to the top paragraph.
The avatar concept was my original intention.. sounds like you've been playing gunbound. I scrapped the idea because that is what memberships are for. And chances are, if I have my way with the way v2 is headed, avatars wont have a purpose any more.
Thanks for your suggestions, though. |
